Please note that If you are already using a version of the Eclipse Platform other than 3.0.2, you need not uninstall it. You can extract the Eclipse Platform version 3.0.2 into a different folder as Eclipse does not alter your system registry.

If you already have Eclipse Platform version 3.0.2 installed, please skip this section and proceed to Chapter 2, Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) 2.0.1.
